Our love story began the old fashioned way: on a dating app, of course!

Chris and Marissa met on May 19, 2023. Chris took Marissa bowling on their first date. The first thing Chris did was show Marissa his custom scented bowling ball (yes, this really happened). Shockingly, Marissa still decided to go on a second date with him! The connection was instant. Chris even deleted the dating app in front of Marissa at the end of the date. It may sound cheesy, but damn, was it romantic!

The pair have been inseparable ever since. Chris, Marissa, and Chris' son, Aiden, all moved in together in August of 2023. Chris decided to make it official and proposed to Marissa on February 10, 2024.

The night of the proposal, Chris was calm, cool, and collected. He treated Marissa to a beautiful dinner at Elizabetta's in West Palm Beach - one of the couple's favorite spots. After dinner, they took a walk on the pier. When they got to the end of the pier, he said, "I want to stop here. I just need to profess my love to you." He then proceeded to shower Marissa with compliments and told her how much he loved her. Then he stopped and said, "I'm doing it!" He got down on one knee and proposed. About 1 minute later, fireworks started going off in the water right behind them. Although Chris tried to take credit for planning it, the fireworks were completely coincidental. It was truly like it was out of a movie.

When things calmed down after the proposal, Marissa said to Chris, "You really surprised me tonight. You were so calm, it felt like a normal date night." Chris replied, "I've never been more sure about anything in my life. I wasn't nervous at all. I can't wait to make you my wife."
